GLENN TINSLEY (Heighington and Washingborough)
I served for 37 years in the Military, retiring as a Naval Captain in 2013. I am currently the Chairman of soundLINCS, a Lincoln-based charity which uses the power of music to assist people in challenging circumstances, particularly the young and over 50s. I am also Chairman of the Lincolnshire Historical Search Society which is a major fundraiser for the LIVES charity.
Throughout my Military career, I was also a semi-professional musician playing venues from the Savoy in London to Parliament in Australia. I am a qualified Recording Engineer and built my own studio in Canberra, Australia where I assisted young artists to release their music.
I moved to Washingborough with my wife Donna and daughter Charlotte in 2013 following a 10-year stint in Australia where I ran the Naval Reserve and led the policy team for a radical programme to enable part-time work in the Military; which has now been adopted.
This is my first venture into politics and comes at a time when the subject has never been so prominent in the electorate’s psyche!
