Team members for South Kesteven District Council
Bourne Castle

Helen Powell has served the town as an Independent Councillor since 2007. Helen is now working at a local level, District and County levels and nationally to help provide a better quality of life and getting value for money on bought-in services.
Helen came back to Bourne for her elderly Mum who had Alzheimers. She had never before considered being a councillor, but wanted to help her town and got involved straight away where she could see that an issue needed resolving.
Helen works on…
Quality of services especially for the elderly, children and vulnerable,
the economy,
education,
the Arts, fund-raising more than £30,000,
the wonderful natural and built environment and planning to get the much-needed infrastructure and open spaces.
Bourne is one of the loveliest towns to be born, live, work and play. Helen is working hard to keep it special.

I am your local Independent Candidate having lived in the area for 24 years at Long Bennington with my wife Jane.
My first priority is to support the residents in the area even if this makes me unpopular at the Council
I will work with Parish Councils and fight to improve services including bus services and tackle the problem with Highways over the poorly maintained roads and road safety.
Do you want your County Councillor to represent you or a Political Party? As an Independent Candidate I am not part of any Political Party and this gives me freedom to express views openly and support local issues.
In 2009 I stood for the Council and received 1331 votes losing by only 151 votes. With a little more support I could win this time.
My loyalty is to the people in the area. Keep party politics out of local government.
