A day in the life of....
Chair of the Lincolnshire Police Independent Advisory Group
As Chair of the Lincolnshire Police Independent Advisory Group I have been privileged to witness first hand the commitment and dedication of Lincolnshire’s Police officers and staff and have developed a deep knowledge and understanding of the challenges they face.
But I am clear that things can and must be done better. Yes this is about funding and resources. But it is also about leadership, ambition and innovation. It’s about a PCC having a vision for Lincolnshire that it’s Police Force will be rated outstanding in every area, most of all in having earned the trust and confidence of every part of every community across the County.
Why I love Lincolnshire
I’m a cycling fan, and I can’t think of a better way to enjoy Linclonshire than on two wheels. It’s landscape, history and iconic cathedral are breathtaking, but it’s culture, strong sense of community and deep association with the Royal Air Force all make me proud to call this county my home.
My favourite charity...
Nott's and Lincs Air ambulance
No one wants to have to rely on our emergency services, but when a crisis happens we can find ourselves owing far more than just gratitude for their existence.
So it is for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance who provide an invaluable and essential service at times when every second counts and every second can mean the difference between life and death.
