Ann Dorrian Skirbeck Ward
Ann Dorrian Skirbeck Ward
My name is Anne Dorrian and I am both honoured and proud to have been a Skirbeck ward councillor for the last four years.
I have lived in Boston since 1982, when I came here to work as a young, fresh-faced PE teacher. I loved Boston so much that I made it my home and I have never left!
I am married to David and between us we have four children and three grandchildren. I just adore being called Granny Annie!
Many of the Skirbeck residents who have turned to me for help have been delighted with the speedy and effective response which I have delivered; so much so, that they have now become supporters of my campaign.
We are desperate for a council which operates in an open and transparent way and I hope to be part of that transformation. Boston needs change and Boston people deserve better! Please vote for me on 4th May 2023 and for the other Boston Independent candidates too.
Emma Cresswell
Emma Cresswell
My name is Emma – I am a Yellow Belly, Parent, Teacher and Chartered Scientist, I was born and educated in Boston and have been educating Science students in my home town for the last 13.5yrs

I was brought up and now once again live within the Borough and am blessed to live right on the banks of the River Witham within sight of the Boston Stump.

I am currently the Assistant Headteacher at Boston Grammar School and I embrace the school and wider community as successful and forward looking.

I believe I have an understanding as a parent, an educator and resident what we want Boston and the surrounding villages to be, the community is stronger together and only by working together can we achieve change. I look forward to representing the views of my students and residents.

Vote for EMMA CRESSWELL a Boston Independent Candidate working in the Trinity Ward who will truly represent the people first – no politics just action, working together on change for all the local community.

Dale Broughton Coastal Ward
Dale Broughton Coastal Ward
Hi, I’m Dale Broughton and am standing as a Boston Independent in the Coastal Ward, in the upcoming Boston Borough Council election.
I am standing because as a lifelong Bostonian, I am disgusted at how the town has been run in the last few years, from closed door decisions, not consulting with the people of Boston, to the debacle of last Christmas. Boston Independent as a group want to take control of the council, and as 1 of our 24 candidates, I feel we can make a difference to our town. I am motivated and will work hard if elected, and am very keen to bring transparency to council decisions, listen to residents and business owners, to increase footfall and trade back into our town. Please vote Dale Broughton Boston Independent candidate for the Coastal ward.
Barrie Pierpoint, Staniland Ward
Barrie Pierpoint, Staniland Ward
Hello I am Barrie Pierpoint. I am standing as a Boston Independent candidate for the Staniland Ward. I live in Boston and was previously an active and successful Independent Councillor serving on the borough council, four years ago.

Over the years I have been involved with many local community and charitable groups, assisting Boston residents, their families, the elderly, disadvantaged and those most in need of support and help.

I run two businesses: one a management consultancy, working with companies and assisting them to become successful; and also I am a joint owner of a publishing company which specialises in producing autobiographies for former professional football players and managers.

I have been a Chief Executive, Managing Director and Chairman of many successful businesses over the years and my expertise, skills and knowledge of business, life, people and communities stand me in good stead to assist anyone and everyone who needs help.

I am not a political party person but have always placed my energies into serving my community and helping them through a maze of daily problems that they face.

If elected I want to serve you, help you and ensure I solve as many problems that you face as I can. I pride myself on being honest, transparent, and putting people first. I am efficient at answering all their emails, social media messages and telephone calls I receive from residents and I see them through to a satisfactory conclusion..

Why vote for me? Well I really care about the residents of Staniland ward. I want the best for you and your family; I want to serve you and your community; and most of all, I want to help make Boston good and great again.

Chris Mountain
Chris Mountain
I am Chris Mountain & I’m standing with Boston Independent. I’m 39 years old, and I have lived in Wyberton most of my life. I left Wyberton at 17 to join the Royal Navy and subsequently moved back here in 2011.

I’m married to Michelle Mountain and have three wonderful children, all of which are still at school in the local area.

Boston is my hometown, which I’m very passionate about. I’m a co-owner of Boston Soap and work full time at Cadent Gas on the Emergency Service Team, helping to protect your family, home, and businesses from gas leaks and other emergencies.

I have never served as a councillor before but recently, I feel the local political parties have not properly represented the average person like you and me. I think that we all deserve a fresh approach that is open, honest, and transparent. I want to represent you and Wyberton, not myself.

I have management experience within the public services sector, large corporations & small independent business. I’m extremely proud to be representing the Boston Independent Group in Wyberton Ward. My aim, if I’m elected on May 4th 2023, is to work with the rest of the team to improve Boston Borough and restore civic pride in our residents. Public opinion matters, and I want your input and ideas. For too long, our voices have gone unheard and ignored. We have this opportunity now to change for the better.

David Middleton
David Middleton
I was born in Sheffield in a two up two down terraced house. Back then, we had an outside toilet and a tin bath in front of the coal fire on Friday night.
I started work as a Craft Apprentice in the Steel Industry and after leaving Secondary School with six ‘o’ levels I attended College, Polytechnic and night-school until I had completed all my training.
After ten years as a three-shift electrician, I left the Steel Industry and I joined an Automation business as a Sales Engineer. Within five years I was Sales Director and I then moved on to work in senior positions for Siemens, Tata Steel and Converteam UK. Before retiring five years ago, the latter part of my career involved spending many months of each year in South Africa, Australia, India and South Korea, initiating, developing and nurturing new business contracts.
My CV has described me as being “comfortable on the night shift or in the board room.”

I strongly believe that volunteering is an excellent way to “give back” to your local community and it also enhances the lives of the many people who willingly give their time to others. Since my retirement I have been involved with Guide Dogs for the Blind and I am now the Area Co-ordinator for Boston And Spalding Volunteers. I am proud to say that last year, my brilliant team raised £20,000 for this worthy cause.

I have lived in Boston for the last ten years and I am happily married with children, and grandchildren. Sport has always been a big part of my life and as well as being a keen club tennis player, I’ve also played county-level badminton and golf. These days, together with my younger son, I am an enthusiastic follower of the Blades and we are both season ticket holders at Sheffield United.

Seeing the state of local politics, I have decided to throw my hat in the ring.
During my business days my watch words were, “do what is right for the business” and if elected to represent you, my watch words will be, “do what’s right for the residents of Kirton and Frampton

Dmitrij Kondratcik, Skirbeck ward
Dmitrij Kondratcik, Skirbeck ward
Hi my name is Dmitrij and I’m an enthusiastic and motivated 42 year old originally from Lithuania.

After graduating from high school I entered a military school leading on to me serving in the army. I spent 2 years doing close protection work, before starting up my own construction business. Unfortunately the economic climate forced my business to sadly cease trading.

I moved to Boston in 2010 and started my new career in agriculture, and building a life in the town I proudly call home.

After 2 years hard work I now occupy a management position in a well known local company.

If elected I aim to help Boston and its residents to live in a safer and better place, increase business in town for the retailers and encourage people and new businesses back into Boston.

Please vote for me and my other Boston Independent candidates on May 4th and let us bring much needed change to Boston.

Dr. Shafqat Bashir Consultant Paediatrician Pilgrim Hospital Boston
Dr. Shafqat Bashir Consultant Paediatrician Pilgrim Hospital Boston
My name is Dr. Shafqat Bashir and I am a Consultant Paediatrician at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, Lincolnshire, where I have worked for several years now. I live with my wife Abida and our three children aged 10, 14 and 17 and we have made Boston our home. We decided to put down roots here due to the good schools, the slower pace of life and the picturesque rural countryside.

I am honoured to be a Boston Independent candidate for St. Thomas ward.

In addition to my Hospital job I have been involved in various social activities such as arranging Community Charity Events. In the near future I am also arranging an upcoming Mega-event to celebrate our Pakistan Cultural Day and this will be for all the residents of Boston and indeed the whole of Lincolnshire to enjoy.

I love this Borough and I want all the residents to be able to thrive, to be content and to live a good life, however, since moving to Boston, I have seen a clear and gradual deterioration in living standards, ever-increasing fly tipping, failing small businesses and a rise in antisocial behaviour. I want to be part of the solution that addresses these problems.

I aim to help Boston and its residents to live in a better and safer place, increase businesses locally for the retailers and attract people and new businesses back into our beautiful town.

Please vote for me and the other Boston Independent Candidates on May 4th, 2023 so that together, we can bring much needed change to Boston.

I do have 8 years previous experience as a Boston Borough and Parish Councillor, when l worked hard for residents and always kept them informed of changes which would directly affect them.
The decline in our Town saddens me and the poor representation local residents have.
